Ottawa Animal Hospital West is a full-service, AAHA accredited veterinary medical facility, located in Holland, MI. We are committed to promoting responsible pet ownership, preventative health care and health-related educational opportunities for our clients. She was very generous with her time and invited me to ask any questions. Our fur baby Pork Chop was unusually nervous so she sat with him before and after checking his ears. He was rewarded with treats for being a good patient and a good dog. The team members handling reception and billing were very busy and enjoyed helping each client. I'm not sure the name of the young lady who took my payment, but she asked how everything went for Pork Chop and if I had any questions on the bill. Very friendly and helpful. Prompt service. We were looking for an office that accepted reptiles and other small animals, as our regular vet in our town does not. We were very fortunate to learn that not only does this office accept reptiles, but they will also accept other small animals. And their fees are not CRAZY for seeing them either. A big sigh of relief for these pet parents! We always want the best for our babies, and having access to health services for the critters that are less worried about by most of society is amazing!Our first visit was with Dr Carlson, for our bearded dragon Johnathan. The office staff, vet tech, and Dr Carlson were all extremely friendly and welcoming for our first visit. They explained the process and quickly brought us to the room. The office and room was clean, spacious, and didn’t have any strange odors or smells- which you can sometimes experience in places where they see pets.Dr Carlson was caring, efficient, and empathetic towards the situation that made us bring our bearded dragon in for a checkup. She quickly followed up with the stool sample test results, and provided advice and care for the results we were provided. We have been highly satisfied from start to finish with this office so far. We are hoping things start looking up for our bearded dragon, and are feeling hopeful thanks to the high efforts of this office.We look forward to bringing our other pets here, and feel peace knowing there is somewhere to bring them that cares and also won’t break the bank.o Oo O ★★★★★ I’ve posted about Ottawa animal hospital before. I was introduced here when I moved to the area and my 22 year old cat became ill. There wasn’t a lot they could do for her as she’d developed a very large cancerous bulb. They were very attentive and gentle. Even in her condition, she wasn’t at all scared. Dr. Turner prescribed medication to ease her pain.I am amending my review as I’ve patronized this establishment for four years after having adopted another cat. Another calico and just as feisty. She came to us ill and on the mend. The people at the hospital suggested ways to mitigate costs for all of the things she required. They were just as gentle and attentive to our new kitten as they were to my 22 year old cat. Gracie is almost three now and extremely lively, happy, and thriving. In fact the woman who set up the appointment for us was already expressing joy about his breed and how much she adores them. What a relief! I really believe they went above and beyond both getting to know him and earning his trust by also letting him get to know them too. FINALLY a Vet that will treat my Charlie like the tender hearted, smart, sweet, fun and friend loving dog he is. Thank you so much! Charlie is my baby and it makes my heart happy as well as gives me much needed peace knowing Charlie finally has a great Vet now who we can trust will respect and appreciate him. Just an awesome place! I adopted my dog from Harbor Humane and got a free visit at Ottawa Animal Hospital when adopting her and we have made it her primary vet since then. She loves everyone there! She doesn’t do well with new men and can be male aggressive, but OAH always accommodates and makes sure she is only handled by female staff, which I greatly appreciate!
